Information of Peru
Brief history: this wonderful ancient country Peru was the seat of prominent Andean civilisations, but the most important and amazing was the Inca culture, which end with the Spanish conquest on 1533, since alter this a big change happened a mix culture born as well  the  colonial cities, after  the many battles, at last the independence of Peru was declared in July  28th   1821,  and   now  we  have  a republic government.
 

CAPITAL : the capital is Lima city, with almost 8 millions of inhabitants, one of the biggest cities in south America

POPULATION : 28 millions of inhabitants

AREA : 1 285 220 km2.

GOVERMENT : democratic republic

LANGUAJE : official Spanish, but in highlands most of people speaks quechua language, aymara is spoken too

TRANSPORTATION

*cabs.- is one of the most used to go around the city, here there is no taximeters so you have to accord a price before get on the cab. Please try to use a official cab above all in the capital.

*Bus.- the most used way to travel because is cheap to travel through the country.
The routes and the buses are good in the coast and in some cities in the Andes like Cusco, Puno and Arequipa. The best companies of buses are Cruz del Sur, Oltursa, Ormeño, Civa. During the national holidays the price usually increase in about 80 %.

*local transport.- used for the locals the cheapest way through the city, most of the times are full of people and no recommendable specially in Lima.

*train.- wonderful landscapes through the Andes, the places to visit by train are; cusco-puno and of course Cusco-Machupicchu.

*boat.- the most common transportation on the jungle, and on the titicaca lake.

*plane.- the main airport is Jorge Chavez in the capital Lima from all international flights arrive and departure, and domestic flights from every city. The airlines for domestic flights are STAR PERU, AEROCONDOR LAN and TACA. For all international flight is necessary to be 3 hours in advance and 1 ½ for domestic flights at the airports

 
CLIMATE
Peru country of the microclimates this country has a range of weathers and climates that make it so diverse and different from other countries.In the world, you can find a total of 32 kinds of climate and Peru has 28 of them so 87.5% of the total!. for try to be easy the explanation here we have the 3 regions:


*the coast.- goes from 00 m.a.s.l. until 1 500 m.a.s.l, we can find the biggest part of the population and major cities here, It is mainly a desert area that is crossed by valleys of more than 40 rivers that run down from the western Andes. This makes the coast an important region for advanced agriculture.

*The Andes.- goes from 1 500 m.a.s.l. To 6 760 m.a.s.l.(Huascarán mountain). The Andean area has an average altitude of 3,000 meters and is full of mountains valleys plateaus, glaciers, canyons and rivers. The mountains give shape to an incredibly rugged surface. The Andes is a hard place, but offers one of the best sceneries in the world.

*the jungle.- goes from the eastern slopes of the Andes 1,500 to 84 meters and covers more than 60% of the country’s area with rainforest.with the most biodiversity, jungle and full-flowing rivers in the world, the Amazonía is drained by the three biggest rivers: Huallaga Marañon, Ucayali and Amazonas too. It is a tropical and almost uninhabited zone (no more than 5% of pop.). In the dense forest there is an explosion of life conformed by thousands of species of flora and fauna, most of them, unknown until today.
