BRIEF OVERVIEW: Misti is an active volcano. Which rises 19 098 feet ( 5 825 m.) The inner crater has steaming fumaroles.Technically easy, but harder than Chachani mountain. The landscape is bleak & beautiful. You feel alone though Arequipa is just the other side of the peak.
El Misti Volcano, a dormant volcano that last erupted in 1870. a cone volcano widely recognised in the Inca religion, has provided inspiration for Peruvian legends and poetry.
DURATION: 02 DAYS

DAY 01.- AREQUIPA-TO 4 800 M, our guide will collect from the hotel and by our private transport to 3 500 m. And begin our walk to the base camp at 4 800 m. energetic lunch, from here we will have a nice view of the Pichupichu mountain, the wind it is hard, around 19:00 dinner and rest for going to the top next day.
DAY 02.- REACHING THE TOP-AREQUIPA, early breakfast 03:30, and climb to the top for 5 hours more, to see the Cross of the Misti, from here we can see the Salinas lagoon an impressive view of the valley of Arequipa as well the Aguada Blanca and Around 10:30 we descend to the base camp, then back to the city arriving to Arequipa around 14:30 transfer to the hotel.
